News — Face Covering Requirement
Our priority is the health of our customers and staff so we need to ask for your co-operation to help us keep everyone safe.
We have a range of safety initiatives that we will need everyone to follow. From time to time, this may mean that you are inconvenienced, and we ask you to bear with us during this unprecedented period.
You must wear a face-covering within the covered Malls at Cwmbran Centre as per government guidelines.
Please take a look at our short video to find out how we’re keeping you safe. Alternatively you can read more details below the video.

We are asking customers to wear face coverings within the covered Malls but not within the open spaces such as Gwent Square or Monmouth Square; following Welsh Government Guidance.
The covered Malls are classed as indoors as they are substantially covered which falls under the same guidance as smoking; this has been confirmed by Environmental Health.
It is mandatory under Welsh Government guidelines to wear a face covering whilst entering a shopping centre or being within an enclosed public space in the Centre;
unless you have a reasonable excuse to not wear one; the Welsh Government have provided a useful exemption card that you may wish to carry https://gov.wales/face-covering-exemption-card
Let’s all play our part to keep Wales safe whilst we are out shopping by keeping 2 metres apart, wearing a face covering and practising hand hygiene.

As of today, visitors will be required to wear face coverings when entering the Centre, stores and restaurants.
You do not need to wear a face covering if you have a legitimate reason not to – please follow Government guidance on exemptions.
A great deal of effort has gone into making Cwmbran Centre a safe place for our staff and customers. We ask that everyone respects this new rule to ensure we limit the spread of COVID-19 and help keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
