We are looking for a Security Manager to ensure the profitable, efficient and safe operation of the Security service contract within Cwmbran Centre. To provide a quality and innovative environment to all members of the team, customers, internal clients and tenants in accordance with company procedures.
Working with support staff who are committed to the ‘One Team’ ethos of the centre and working environment to manage, retain and improve the current contract service delivery with the aim of developing the continuous improvement culture throughout the site. To ensure that the team is developed to meet succession planning needs and client requirements and that all staff understand our goal of a creating a happy, contented fully synchronised team, striving to create as near as possible the perfect customer experience whilst in our Shopping Centre.
Main Duties:
- To assist in the coordination and management of all Mall and Control Room staff, Operations and procedures within the Centre.
- Line manage a team of Security Duty Controllers and Mall Officers, providing guidance, support and specialist expertise to the team.
- Drive change, new ideas and challenge current operating procedures implementing best practice across the structure.
- Ensure the team are tasked efficiently and effectively maximising resource at peak times matching rotas to operational demands.
- Effectively manage budgets and staff rota’s continually reviewing all factors affecting the operation including agency staff, staff payroll, uniforms, presentation and required standards of the team.
- Continuous management and monitoring of CCTV screens/systems and associated security equipment
- In conjunction with duty controllers diligent management and maintenance of control room records/reference materials including H&S records, incident forms and site occurrence book
- Monitor and manage all access control systems
- Daily support to Duty Controllers with assistance where possible
- Provide a high focus on Customer Service ensuring that the team courteously communicate with members of the public, retailers and our client at all times.
- To ensure the necessary internal site quality audits are undertaken and provide a detailed action plan effectively managing any non-compliance.
- Maintain the clients Daily Log system continually updating and addressing issues raised.
- Understand client requirements providing solutions to meet and exceed needs and contribute to achieving the customers’ objectives.To Manage recruitment, Induction training,developing and retraining of staff where necessary ensuring a “one team approach”
- Ensure adequate quality performance (KPI’s) measures are adhered too within the relevant time frame and any non-compliance is resolved in a professional manner.
- Ensure all site related risk assessments are continually monitored, reviewed and updated as necessary.
- Ensure the Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of the site services delivery and increasingly added value to both the business and our Client.
- To work and deliver under both LCP & OCS site operating procedures ‘best practice’
- Provide shift cover, duty management and flexibility to cover outside normal operational hours, frequent monitoring and management of silent hours operations
- Management of the Security VTAS System in line with the company policies and procedures.
- Set objectives for direct reports and review quarterly. Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
- The completion and regular reviews of the Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) for the team.
- Management of the site SIA procedures in line with company operating policies.
- To oversee the daily management of Car Park Operations. Duty Controllers and Mall Officers
What you will need to be successful:
- Previous experience in a similar Management role
- Experience of operating within retail sector, understanding of retailer liaison.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional or further qualification in Security Management.
- Dual SIA Licensed. (CCTV / Manned Guarding)
- CRC
- MIM training
