News — M Cwmbran Celebrates a Milestone Year of Growth and Openings
M Cwmbran, owned and managed by LCP UK, part of M Core, has marked a landmark year with major store openings and investments that reinforce its position as one of South Wales’s leading retail destinations.
Over the past year, the centre has welcomed JD Sports, JD Gyms, Cash Converters, BadzGaming, and Pavers. These additions bring new retail, leisure, and employment opportunities to the town, highlighting M Cwmbran’s success in attracting both national brands and independents.
A key highlight was the transformation of a former department store into a flagship JD Sports and a state-of-the-art JD Gym, creating over 20 local jobs and offering 25,000 sq ft of fitness space open 24/7.
Other notable openings include:
Cash Converters – 2,494 sq ft unit on North Walk, secured on a 10-year lease.
BadzGaming – A new hub for trading card enthusiasts and community events.
Pavers – Opening soon with 2,759 sq ft of comfort-focused footwear.
This year alone, 15 new tenants have joined the centre, reinforcing its appeal as a vibrant retail and leisure destination. Members of Torfaen Borough Council recently visited to celebrate these milestones and the centre’s ongoing investment in the community.
Adam Martin, Head of LCP’s Bristol Office, said:
“It’s been a fantastic year of growth and activity at M Cwmbran. These openings underline the centre’s strength as a dynamic destination at the heart of Cwmbran town centre.”
Looking ahead, further regeneration projects are planned in collaboration with local partners, continuing M Core’s commitment to enhancing the centre’s environment, retail mix, and visitor experience.
